Becoming a Taekwondo Manitoba Kyorugi Referee in 5 Easy Steps

  1. Become a member of Taekwondo Manitoba.
  2. Register for a provincial referee seminar, offered by Taekwondo Manitoba and presented by the Referee Chair for the Province.
  3. Study the most recent World Taekwondo Federation (WTF) Rules for Kyorugi. A copy can be found here:
WTF Competition Rules and Regulatons (English & Korean) - Effective June 24, 2017
  4. Participate at the seminar, and pass the written test and practical examination.
  5. Practice, practice, practice…at your club, at local tournaments, in front of the mirror!

Please consult the Referee Regulations section for specific information on the requirements, promotion and selection for each level.

As an official, aim to be fair, use your common sense and encourage sportsmanlike conduct from all. Safety is the number one priority – always!
